I love this mini laptop for its flexibility. Compare to the famous ASUS eee pc, it's 1" bigger and a little bit heavier, but carrying this 1kg laptop that could fit perfectly in my hand bag is not a problem at all for me. As for the design, this laptop is definitely looks maturer than other mini laptop such as eee pc or classmate. Thus, adults can freely use the pc at public places without the guilt of using "for children" product.
This is one thing one should know about the pc: the processor is not intel, its is another brand called VIA. I browsed the internet and find this processor interesting for it's commitment to reduce the emission of using the computer. Yes, this is one of brands which use environmentally friendly spirit as one of their marketing appeal. even though it is not "the great" Intel processor, it works very well for starters. I opened a lot of windows yet still work well. A good enough processor for writers and net-surfers.
What else? the battery is quite strong. The webcam works just fine. The resolution is better than eee pc (Some feee pc users complain about how irritating it is having to scrool left and right when you browse the internet due to the low resolution) Another plus point of this laptop is the speaker- love it! sounds just great for me...
Since it's a mini laptop, of course-like all mini laptops, there are functional sacrifices should be made. There are only 2 USB ports, that the first thing (I need more!- I have a flash, an ipod, need one for mouse, for laptop mini vacuum, and laptop cooler fan!) Secondly, which is quite bugging as well, no dvd/cd drive.Surely one should buy one, it gets complicated when need to install a software from cd. Thirdly, it comes with Windows Vista Home basic - original! which I hate most for its expensive original label (And you barely can install old software- especially pirated ones) Lastly, the biggest flaw from HP: the laptop is light and small, but the charger is big and heavy with three pointed plug (colokan tiga: positif, negatif, ground) But I tell you what, it worth the sacrifices... And the price? just perfect!
