Poverty

I really can't stop interrogating the concept of "poor" in this country no matter how much I try not to be bitter about it. Some people claim that they are poor when they are driving their cars, whereas in my country the poor don't have cars, not even bicycles. They are struggling to get the very basic necessity: food. To what extent we should think within our own boundaries? And to what extent we should think across boundaries? I've had enough people telling me that world hunger is none of their problem. It's okay to have children dying in other countries and continents, as long as their own necessities are fulfilled. And what they mean by their necessities are: gasoline, cars, brand new mac book and an apartment with ocean view. Start to question if people really are compassionate.
